About ChemWeb

Evans2 ChemWeb is the Chemistry pages of Preston Lodge High School, Prestonpans, East Lothian.

This site has proven very popular with other schools in Scotland, and it was decided that there should be a login section to enable others to have access to the material and services provided by this site.

Chemweb would like to thank SSERC for their continued sponsorship during the current session (2022-2023) as this will significantly reduce our administration costs and time.

The reason for ChemWeb.

As many teachers know, there is a growing interest in using IT in the classroom, but there is an ever decreasing amount of time available to set this up and utilise it. With these two points in mind, the authors took it upon themselves to give Chemistry departments in Scottish high-schools the opportunity to access relevant IT resources and also to free up some teacher preparation and marking time to allow them to use these resources in the classroom.
